SunStar Entertainment is an independent producer of film and television programs, and selected music artists. Peter Ortmann, founded the company in 2002 and is its President/CEO.

Over the years, Mr. Ortmann has been involved with many exciting travel, entertainment, and music related projects. He has brought this diversified experience and some of the industries most talented young professionals together under the SunStar Entertainment brand, creating a true independent digital media entertainment production company.

SunStar is the proud owner of the TahitiPetey Film, Television and Animation franchise, and is producing a number of related travel programs, plus a fun new animation project called PorkChops: Two Pigs On Permanent Vacation. All are designed to entertain viewers, while promoting tahitipetey.org, and its ocean awareness messages.

Mr Ortmann is currently working on The Whistler Mountain Shark web series he wrote and created, to be based and taped within the Whistler Ski Resort in BC, Canada, the host resort for the 2010 Winter Games.  Much of this content we produce will be available in DVD format and on our TahitiPetey Channel, an Internet based broadcast network, scheduled to begin web casting its programming worldwide by early 2011.

SunStar produces most of its film and television projects in the wide screen, High Definition Digital Video, or the HDV format. We use the latest in Apple computer technology, plus the Final Cut Pro editing software to keep our production costs low - without sacrificing the quality of our end project. Our film and television series projects are being produced for direct DVD or web cast distribution through our site, and for the global DVD rental markets, in seven languages.
